4 weeks in! I am officially a month into prep and what a journey it has already been. I have 14 more weeks to go and cannot wait to dial it in even more. I am without a doubt in the best shape of my life. I’m feeling strong, lean and confident in my preparation and mindset. Each and every day I gain more confidence that a top 3 finish is more than possible for my first ever physique show. My weight from the start date has went from 197 to 181 in week 4. I should be closing in on the 170’s this upcoming week.
My supplementation has changed a little this week as I have now started taking a fat burner pill to speed up my metabolism and start burning at a little higher rate. Im still only taking a scoop of protein powder per day and that is after my workouts.
My diet will be changing up slightly this week as well. Everything will start to become more strategically planned as these next 7 weeks or so will be huge to see how my physique transforms.
My workouts will be changing up as well. My split is still on a 4 day schedule, hitting legs every fourth day. This past phase the hardest part of the workouts both physically and mentally was walking barbell or farmer carried lunges. The pain and torment of these will make you question everything about the competition but remembering the WHY you decided to do this in the first place far outweighs the short term pain of a given exercise or moment. You must think long term. Think how you will look on stage. I want to look the best out of my class so I must work and train accordingly.
I’m about a 1/3 of the way through with this prep. I cannot wait to make my way to stage date and show off all the hard work that I’ve been putting in. This journey and experience is something I thought I would never do but I am very thankful that I am doing so. Time to dial it in!
